MTX Deliver a Special Care Baby Unit to Queens Hospital in Romford

MTX have successfully handed over a Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) to Queens Hospital.

Working with Engie, MTX delivered these essential refurbishment works to the existing Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within the hospital in order to create an additional 7 cot care ward for seriously ill babies from birth.

Renovation works also took place in the waiting area and seminar rooms and an extra staff room was created.

The new SCBU is situated within the existing Maternity Ward on the first floor of the hospital. MTX worked with AFL Architects and Consulting Engineers Redworths to deliver these works to the Trust within budget and to the programme timescale which was 25 weeks.
