In August 2
MTX will deliver a full ‘turnkey’ package including the associated groundworks and enabling works under a Design and Build contract.
Externally the new modules have been clad with a king span micro-rib finish with all joints matched to ensure a seamless architectural appearance which tie in to the existing building. The ground floor utilises floorless modules where the individual units are lifted directly onto the pre-prepared concrete slab. This method allows us to offer a superior internal ceiling height and the floor response factors required for a facility of this nature.
The facility is due to be handed over to Care UK on the 8th February 2016.
The theatre, which is due to open in February at the cost of £1.4m, will increase the number of hip and knee replacements carried out at the centre in Lindrick Way by one-third. In the last 12 months alone, more than 2,000 joint operations have been carried out on knees, hips and shoulders.
