We are extremely pleased to announce that we have achieved Tier 1 British Standards Institute (BSI) Building Information Modelling (BIM) Level 2 Business/Certification following a 12 month verification process. The award is in respect of PAS 1192-2:2013 Information Management for the Capital Delivery Phase of Construction Projects using Building Information Modelling.
The Tier 1 Contractor Award includes design, project and construction management of traditional and off-site modular healthcare and education buildings complying with BIM Level 2 in accordance with PAS 1192-2:2013, BS 1192:2007 and BS 1192-4:2014.
The award comes as we continue to deliver an increasing number of projects using digital technologies and with established processes and procedures in place, the certification is a significant leap in our ability to deliver BIM projects.
In line with the government’s 2025 construction strategy and the intention to build on the mandate for all central government departments to be delivered in BIM, the award positions MTX as a partner of choice for healthcare and education projects for the public sector.
The value of BIM and digital construction is endless with the opportunity to achieve significant improvements in cost, programme and safety. The value is achieved by collaboration, further enhancing the RIBA plan of work process ensuring all parties are aligned to a common goal ensuring a delivery that has been previously modelled and ratified.
David Hartley, Managing Director, MTX Contracts Ltd added;
“Our latest certification is a huge credit to the team who have been involved in its implementation from conception and this accomplishment demonstrates our capability in the delivery of BIM and digital technologies in our construction projects. For the entire team at MTX, this is not just a tick in the box but a directive across all projects to ensure that we deliver a seamless product, cost effectively, delivering programme accuracy and improving safety. Our approach has always been innovative and this accreditation cements our digital proposition with the BSI approval of our system of work.”
