Following a successful and competitive tender MTX have won the contract to provide Manchester Royal Infirmary with a new MRI scanner suite.

This will be the second scanner suite MTX have delivered to this hospital after the prestigious SIGNA PET-MR scanner was installed in September 2016 and was the first of its kind in the North West.

Working for Engie on behalf of the Trust, MTX will deliver a fully functioning scanner suite with a dedicated plant room serving the scanner.The suite, which will house a Siemens scanner, will also have an RF cage, a SFS (steel frame system) and a traditional foundation type.

The new scanner suite will be an extension to the current MRI Department on the ground floor of the hospital and is due to be completed later this summer.
