MTX have been successful on the contract to provide Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust with a cutting edge rooftop extension to the Fairfield General Hospital site. MTX will begin on site next month to deliver a single storey solution, providing an extra 1,200m² of much needed space. The new facility will encompass necessary welfare accommodation, such as staff offices, interview rooms, staff rooms, changing rooms and toilets. The extension will be built on top of existing live wards, which will remain operational throughout the whole construction period. Completion is due late 2020.
