MTX Celebrates Double Success at the Building Better Healthcare Awards 2025

10 Nov 2025

MTX is delighted to have been recognised in two categories at this year’s Building Better Healthcare Awards.

Our Lincolnshire Community Diagnostic Centres project at Lincoln and Skegness was named ‘Community Diagnostic Centre of the Year’, whilst our CDC at Milford Community Hospital received the accolade of ‘Best Modular/Mobile Healthcare Facility’.

These awards recognise projects that demonstrate outstanding innovation, quality and impact in the healthcare built environment, and we are proud that both schemes have been acknowledged among the best in the UK.

The Lincolnshire Community Diagnostic Centres project delivered two innovative facilities simultaneously in Lincoln and Skegness for United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, with both completed in under 40 weeks. Designed around patient comfort and operational efficiency, the facilities form part of the NHS programme to enhance diagnostic capacity in community settings.

Lincoln CDC, on Lincoln Science and Innovation Park, offers a range of diagnostic services, including X-ray, MRI, CT, and non-obstetric ultrasound, and dedicated facilities to support the training of future radiographers. The Skegness facility, on Old Wainfleet Road, brought a number of NHS diagnostic services to the town for the first time, including CT and MRI scanners, echocardiograms, and dental X-ray.

Our Community Diagnostic Centre in Milford highlights the benefits of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) in healthcare delivery. Using 25 offsite-manufactured modules, MTX delivered the build in 60 weeks, on time and to budget, with minimal disruption. The facility provides vital imaging services, including MRI and CT scanning, in an accessible community setting; alleviating pressure on acute hospital services and supporting faster patient diagnosis and treatment.

These achievements reflect the hard work and collaboration of all project partners and stakeholders, and we would like to extend our thanks to everyone involved. In particular, we are proud to recognise the efforts of the MTX project teams whose expertise and dedication ensured outstanding delivery of these facilities.

Congratulations to all this year’s finalists and winners!
