From the outset the aim was to produce a vibrant, modern environment for students entering higher and further education who would be using the building daily as their main base for studies and relaxation. The building would also cater for an influx in additional students numbers and increased their current 6th form capacity from 150 to 320 pupils.

Skanska Walsall Manor – 30 Bed decant ward

Skanska Walsal ManorIn July 2014 MTX were awarded the contract to provide a new 30 bed decant ward for the Walsall Manor Trust Foundation in conjunction with Skanska who maintain the current site. The project which will provide six, four patient diamond wards, 6 single patient rooms and supporting infrastructure will be completed in December 2014.

Job win North Staffs

University Hospital of North StaffordshireMTX have recently been awarded the contract for a new SSCU Modular Extension to the Lyme Building at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire, adding an additional 12 critical care beds. This is arranged as 10 beds in an open plan area, a single critical care bedroom and an isolation suite. This will ultimately increase the hospitals Critical Care capacity by over 20%. MTX are working alongside Kier Northern to deliver what will be a prestigious scheme offering full HTM and HBN compliance.
